Second submarine assembly workshop of the Mazagon Dock Limited (MDL) was inaugurated by Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar on 28 May 2016.

In spite of the drought last year, the maize production stood at 24.17 MT in 2014-15, the Minister said adding this signifies the resilience of maize cultivation against climatic variability.

ISRO will launch a record 22 satellites in a single mission next month.
